Parent Student Handbook

For the 2010-2011 academic school year, our primary focus is to ensure that all students are proficient readers and increase their competencies in mathematics, science, and the writing process. Our assessment data indicates that our students are doing a superb job of applying academic skills and processes in meaningful ways in order to meet or exceed all district and state standards. However, extra attention is needed to make sure students are not academically regressing. Most important, students should continue to aim higher each year and not just settle for being "Good," but strive to be "Great."

As parents or guardians, you are encouraged to "GET INVOLVED." Time invested with your child at home and school pays off in huge dividends. One of the best ways to do this is to make sure your child arrives to school each day and be on time and ready to learn. Parental involvement and participation are the key ingredients for "SUCCESS." Once again, welcome to the 2010-2011 academic school year at Henry E. S. Reeves Elementary, A Magnet School of Distinction.
